Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (Furlough)

Employers in the UK can claim up to 80% of their employees wages via the government's Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Employees must apply for the scheme via their employer and can check their employer's eligibility at www.gov.uk/guidance/check-if-you-could-be-covered-by-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme

The scheme is currently set to run until the end of October 2020.


Register for a Business Grant from Bath & North East Somerset Council

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Government announced there would be support for small businesses and businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors. This support will take the form of two grant funding schemes, the Small Business Grant Fund and the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant.

Self-employed invited to get ready to make their claims for coronavirus (COVID-19) support

The government is inviting self-employed people to check if they are eligible for the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS). If eligible, claimants will be able to claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their average trading profits up to a maximum of £7,500 (equivalent to three months’ profits), paid in a single instalment.

Coronavirus Bounce Back Load scheme

From Monday 4th May 2020 small to medium-size businesses will be able to borrow up to £50,000 with the Government's Coronavirus Bounce Back Loan scheme. There won’t be any fees or interest to pay for the first 12 months and the Governent will guarantee 100% of the loans. No repayments will be due for the first 12 months and terms will be up to 6 years. The Government will work with lenders to agree a low rate of interest for the remaining period of the loan. Coronavirus Business Financial Support Finder Tool

The Government has launched an online tool to help employers and the self-employed find coronavirus financial support. The support finder will show which loans, tax relief and cash grants that businesses can access.
