Annual Grants

The Town Council support many organisations and groups within the town by awarding them grants. This is done in two ways; organisations are given a specific amount annually to assist with their work and other groups are asked to make applications at the start of the financial year.

Grants Awarded 2018-19

Keynsham Town Council is very happy to have awarded over £20,000 in grants to community groups and charities for 2018/19.

Recipients will be given their award at our award presentation evening in July.

1st Keynsham Scout Group - To purchase equipment to modernise Scout pioneering activities.

Age UK Bath and North East Somerset - To help fund activities to help older people in Keynsham stay active and address social isolation.

Avon Wildlife Trust (Keynsham Branch) – Grant for printing of the Keynsham Wildlife Report

Broadlands PTA - To fund all weather outdoor table tennis tables as part of the school fitness trail.

Chandag Infant School - Funding towards the transformation of outdoor play facilities.

Chandag Junior School - To purchase 18 programmable robots. Compatible with I pads. These will teach children analytical skills.

Combe Down Holiday Trust – To provide breaks, holidays, days out, theatre, trips as a support for disabled people & more especially their carers. Their funding is to support Keynsham Residents. ART GRANTS AWARD £500 & GENERAL GRANT AWARD £500.00

Community At 67 – To fund activities with young people in Keynsham South. This will include coding Club for children Years 4 - 6. Plus a youth café for young people at secondary school (drop in once a week).

Friends of Manor Road Community Woodland - To purchase wildflowers (for nature reserves) To replace bird boxes, add bat boxes and sharpen cutting tools (for season).

Golden Oldies Charity - ARTS GRANT AWARD - Support to maintain Golden Oldies Sing & Smile session. Plus funding towards a special event commemorating the final months of WW1.

Hawthorn Court Association - Funding for garden tables & chairs for sheltered housing extra care communal garden.

Keynsham Allotment Association – To repair/layer the west hedge - security improvement.

Keynsham & Saltford History Society - To support the construction of a permanent memorial in Keynsham Park to remember the devasting flood in 1968.

Queens Road Church Pre-School – To cover some of the cost of staging the 50th anniversary celebration of pre-school.

Revitalise Respite Holidays - To help directly provide a break for a disabled resident of Keynsham which in turn will give his carers a break.

The Woodworks Project – ART GRANT AWARD Funding to run a woodworking course for those who are disadvantaged in Keynsham.

Triumph Over Phobia - Support for the Bath Group and/or only SKYP group for those in B&NES including Keynsham residents with phobias, OCD and anxiety disorders.
