Grounds Maintenance Worker

  • Salary Range NJC SCP3-5 (£18,065-18,795)
  • Full-time 37hrs/week | Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm (with some Weekends and Evenings)

Keynsham Town Council is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and diligent Grounds Maintenance Worker to support the work of our vibrant and friendly Grounds Maintenance Team in maintaining all aspects of the Town Council’s Footpaths, Bus Shelters, Litter bins, Noticeboards, Play Areas, Sports Facilities, Bandstand and the working Cemetery.

Part-time Youth Workers

  • Qualified and unqualified permanent positions
  • Salary ranges:
    Assistant Youth Support Worker JNC 3-6 (£18,117-19,106 pro-rata £9.39 - 9.90/hr)
    Youth Support Worker JNC 7-10 (£19,389-21,512 pro-rata £10.05 - 11.15/hr)
  • 374 hours/annum (approx 7 hours per week)

Enthusiastic and imaginative part-time Youth Workers required to join our existing Youth Service Team to deliver an exciting new programme of activities including Outreach, Detached and Centre-based work, for the Young People of Keynsham.

We have several positions available for both qualified Youth Support Workers (NVQL3 or equivalent) and unqualified Assistant (or Apprentice) Youth Support Workers.

These are varied roles which will involve planning/supporting 2 x 3hr sessions per week After School (est. 3.45pm – 6.45pm) and/or in the Evenings (est. 6.45-9.45pm). We are particularly looking for people able to support a combined afternoon and evening session of Outreach and Detached activities on the Fridays hence timings may vary.

An additional 52 hours/year are allocated flexibly for planning, supervision, training and the new monthly Saturday afternoon Music Café at the Music Studio in TimeOut (all Youth Workers are expected to work one Saturday afternoon every 3 months on a rota).

You will need to demonstrate your ability to understand, engage and communicate effectively with young people; have a knowledge of issues affecting young people today and be able to demonstrate how you would deal with challenging behaviours.

Weekend Bandstand Attendant & Litter Picker

  • Salary Range NJC SCP 3 – 6 (£9.36 - £9.94 per hour)
  • Fixed-term, part time post – varying hours, averaging 4 – 10 hours per week (as required)
  • For a Saturday and/or Sunday from Saturday 4th April 2020 through to Sunday 27th September 2020.

Keynsham Town Council is looking to appoint a Bandstand Attendant & Litter Picker to cover work throughout the summer concert season and litter pick in Memorial Park Play Areas.

Must be reliable and a good communicator with members of the public.
