Keynsham Victorian Evening 2009
The
annual Keynsham Victorian Evening took place on Friday 27th November
with a full programme of entertainment including stalls, fairground rides,
stilt walkers, puppet theatre, carol singers, music including
Keynsham Light Opera Group, Wellsway
School, Salvation Army
Band and Totally Maracas.
A
Town Crier lead the procession along the High Street followed by local children
who made stars at earlier workshops and the Three Kings and their very well behaved Camels made a great sceptical. The Christmas lights were switched on by Isabelle Goddard who was last years competition
winner. Isabelle’s Christmas light design, a
choir boy, is now on the lamp post on the High Street (at the bottom of Charlton Road). The
Chairman of B&NES, Councillor Bryan
Chalker and the Chairman of Keynsham Town Council, Councillor Roy Staddon were also present.

This year's Christmas lights were switched on by last year's
Design a Light winner Isabelle Goddard
