Due to  complications regarding staffing issues because of the imminent general  election the Town Council has taken the decision to  postpone the event planned for 3rd April 2010 until Saturday 22nd May  2010.

The  new facility in Memorial Park, on the site of the old skateboard track is now complete (apart  from some landscaping issues) and ready  for use. It  can be used by  BMX bikes, skate boards but is not suitable for children under the age of EIGHT.

There will be an events day on Saturday 3rd April 2010 about which further details will be released shortly.

Following the decision taken at  the Town Council Meeting a framed scroll was prepared and presented to  John by  the Chairman, Councillor Roy Staddon. The presentation took place in the rectory on Thursday 22nd October 2009. The Town Council thanked John for his 12 years of hard work in the town, especially his work on More to Life 08 and wished John and his wife Chris a long and healthy retirement.
