Many people are unclear as to what the Town Council actually does with tax payers money.
The Town Council currently provides the following services:

Keynsham is also served by Bath and North East Somerset Council, which is responsible for: Education, Social Services, Highways, Strategic Planning and Development Control, Libraries, Waste Collection and Disposal, Youth Service, Housing, Environmental Health, Leisure Centres

Keynsham Town Council liaises with B&NES Council on a regular basis on matters related to the Town.


Keynsham Allotment Association Keynsham Allotment Association was established in 1987 to provide allotments to the community of Keynsham. The Association looks after 120 allotments at the site on Park Road, Keynsham. It is subsidised by Keynsham Town Council, which financially supports the Association with rent payments and major repairs that are needed at the site.

The Association takes responsibility for allocation, inspection of allotments and maintenance and management of the site. Each allotment is approximately 150 square yards in size, and there is a water supply at the site.
