Nice to see the town council making the most of new technologies to engage with the public. I look forward to seeing the public making their voices heard here on local matters.

In respect of the play area at Homeoak Rd,please can you advise when lease expires,and if that is soon has any intimation from Banes been given as its likely renewal.I ask this as when the much requested BMX track application was being proposed(2006),the Town Council was advised that there was no chance of lease for that facility beyond 2008-hence the scheme was abandoned.In the present housing difficulty with builders stopping work on many locations,would a delay in work on the proposed top of Charlton Meadow Estate-its former name-be anticipated,If this is so,a BMX facility could perhaps be a good use of the land.Thuis use was after all orginally supported at the planning stage,and only cancelled when short lease matter arose.Food for thought?

There has been no contact from B&NES regarding the renewal of the lease for the existing site. The point you raise is an intereting one and I will raise the matter with the Town Council in September.
