In pursuance of Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on 16th August 2021, Rock Road, Keynsham shall be closed to all traffic, in the interests of public safety, to enable Halsall Construction Ltd to carry out urgent drainage connection to new building development to main sewer. USRN: 47902957

The road will be closed at Rock Road, Keynsham from its junction with Ashton Way to its junction with Mayfields, but the closure shall not apply to any vehicle associated with the works.

Alternative Route: Temple Street – Albert Road – Park Road – West View Road – Charlton Road – Ashton Way.

West View Road to be made one-way (northbound only), no entry from Charlton Road junction extending to its junction with Park Road / Handle Road.

Parking to be suspended to all vehicles for the entire length of the west side of West View Road, Keynsham.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

These works will commence on 16th August 2021 and the road closure is anticipated to be required for 21 days. This Notice will have a maximum duration of 21 days.

Notice is hereby given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to pedestrians that length of Footpaths BA27/28: ST 66532 68226 to ST 66563 68048 Nr Bath Road, Keynsham from a point alongside Withies Farm heading in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 317 metres, BA27/27: ST 66527 67929 to 66837 67819 from its meeting point with BA27/28 in a easterly direction for a distance of approximately 328 metres.  

 

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath consequent upon construction works by Crest Nicholson Operations Limited, and will be operative from the 09th August 2021 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the restrictions may not be effected for the whole of the period but it is anticipated that the footpaths will be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to execute the works which it is anticipated will be 6 months.

 Notice is hereby given that Bath and North east Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and The Electric Scooter Trials and Traffic Signs (Coronavirus) Regulations and General Directions 2020 intends to make an order the effect of which will enable electric scooters (as defined in The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016) being used in a trial, to use any road or length of road in Bath and North East Somerset which are currently used by pedal cycles. This applies only to electric scooters hired from a company authorised and in accordance with the regulations made by the Department of Transport.

This order is required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public; improving and providing travel options in connection with Coronavirus and will be operative from the 25th September 2020 for a maximum period of twelve months.

NOTICE is given that on 30th July 2020, the Bath and North East Somerset Council made the above order, under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which, subject to the listed exceptions, will be to close temporarily to motor vehicles, prohibit parking, waiting and loading on the High Street, Keynsham from its junction with Charlton Road to its junction with Bath Hill from 9am – 5pm 7 days a week.
