Keynsham Town Council’s Winter Festival 2025 is almost here; and we are excited to share with you a sneak peek on what’s happening and where, helping you plan a festive afternoon with the family and make sure you don’t miss your favourite festive entertainers. It’s going to be a great atmosphere filled with lots of Christmas excitement for all ages with lots to discover across a large area of Keynsham Town Centre.

Keep an eye out for all the Winter Festival details on the Keynsham Town Council Facebook and Instagram pages as well as in the free official Winter Festival programme. The programme will be available from early November in the library, from Keynsham Town Council Office, various shops on the High Street, the Farmer’s Market on Saturday 8th November and on the day of the Winter Festival.

The celebrations start the day before; on Friday 28th November at 6pm with the official Christmas Tree light switch on at St John’s Church. The evening will begin with a cheerful countdown led by Reverend Aidan Watson, the new Rector, followed by community carol singing, children’s crafts, and festive activities. Come along with friends, family, and neighbours to share in this joyful Keynsham tradition and start the festive season with lights, music, and community spirit.

This year the Main Stage is situated slightly further along the High Street outside the closed Post Office building. We are delighted to welcome Matt Finch as our Event Compere who will introduce energising performances from local groups, choirs and schools, closing with a community sing-a-long at 5.30pm.

The Tinsel Trail is back! For a chance to win a brand new laptop kindly sponsored by Smart Computers; the trail runs for one day only during the Winter Festival and leads participants around 6 different parts of the festival site, gathering answers whilst enjoying all that the festival has to offer. You will find the trail card in the back of the Winter Festival programme to cut out and use. Completed cards must be placed in the Tinsel Trail collection box at Keynsham Leisure Centre by 6pm on the festival day.

‘Choir Corner’, will be cosily tucked into Temple Court (the entrance is next to Savour Farm Shop) with musical entertainment performing throughout the day.

Temple Street will be lined with market stalls; start your Christmas shopping while the popular community piano offers musical entertainment. Grab a bite to eat from the food vendors then head round to Riverside Square where you will find outdoor seating.
