Thousands celebrate the start of the festive season at the Keynsham Winter Festival.

Keynsham Town Council is delighted to announce that this year’s Keynsham Winter Festival held on Saturday 29th November, welcomed thousands of visitors, confirming again that this popular festival really is one of the highlights in the Town’s community event calendar, and a wonderful start to the festive season.

Families, friends, and neighbours came together across all areas of the Town Centre including the High Street, Temple Street, Market Walk, Riverside Square, the Library, The Space, the Leisure Centre, the Methodist Church and the Baptist Church to enjoy a huge range of festive performances, activities, and community events.

The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and full of Christmas spirit, illustrating how events like these bring the whole community together.

A day filled with festive magic

Festival goers enjoyed live performances on the Main Stage and Choir Corner in Temple Court; a bustling fun fair, market stalls, food vendors, free community activities, the Tinsel Trail sponsored by Smart Computers, a Christmas story time, face painting, Punch & Judy shows, craft sessions, and Santa’s Grotto sponsored by Smart Computers and kindly supported by the South West Lions.

The Tree of Remembrance in the Library displayed beautifully decorated memorial baubles by members of the community remembering loved ones at this special time.

The window displays throughout the Town Centre reflected the theme ‘Sparkly Lights, Starry Nights’ and shone brightly giving a warm feel to the day.
