The 2019 Keynsham Winter Festival again proved to be very popular with the local community and with visitors from outside of the town. Thousands of people attended the event to enjoy some of the performances at venues across the town centre or browse the stalls which took over the High Street, Temple Street and Fear Hall.
The Keynsham Light Opera Group performed some songs from ‘The Greatest Showman’, in keeping with the festival’s circus theme. They were joined on the main stage by the Phoenix Youth Theatre who also performed some Christmas Classics.
The performances in The Space proved to be extremely popular. The Keyford Dancers and Performers Dance & Musical School put on two fantastic dance shows before Baskerville Gymnastics (appearing at the festival for the first time) performed a spectacular routine. The evening was rounded off by the Wellsway Academy Performers who drew a crowd so large that the library staff kept the library open late (a big thank you to them) to allow them to give a second performance so that everyone who wanted to could watch.
The Keynsham Brass Band, Key Voices Choir and Salvation Army were also sprinkling Christmas cheer throughout Keynsham with performances at the churches on the High Street.
The Keynsham Winter Festival will be back in 2020. All of the details will be published on this page closer to the time of the event.
